Connecting Strides: International Collaborative Learning for Running Science Education

This teaching innovation project is developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP), promoting multidisciplinary competencies in running science. Through the Jigsaw method, students from different countries, degree programs, and educational levels work in transnational teams, assuming specialized roles. The training combines online and in-person sessions, where participants receive both theoretical and practical instruction in biomechanics, training, and injury prevention. They then apply the acquired knowledge to develop a scientific poster, presented at the International Running Science Conference, held at the end of the Erasmus+ program. The results demonstrate that the microteaching methodologies employed fostered autonomous learning, strengthened transversal competencies, and facilitated the creation of international academic networks. This experience highlights the value of active and collaborative methodologies in international university settings.
